SETTING: Angelini has a breathtakingly stylish dining environment with views of the pool and the Chao Phraya River beyond.
FOOD: An extensive menu offers a wide range of imaginative, innovative Italian cuisine, the quality heightened by the attention to presentation. Antipasti platter should not be missed, the cold cuts and grilled vegetables set off by a unique mustard jelly. Crab cakes with herb aioli and avocado salsa, an Angelini speciality, are outstanding. Beautifully moist, the crabmeat is perfectly complemented by the salsa accompaniment. Seafood lovers will adore grilled snowfish with wild mushrooms and oven-baked potato, a dish which manifests the skills of chef Nicola Cocia to the full. Also highly recommended is sirloin tagliata, Italian-style steak, perfectly tender and juicy, served with sauteed potatoes and balsamic dressing. If you have room, delightful tiramisu is an ideal way to finish a memorable meal.
WINE: The wine list is extensive, predominantly from Italy.
SERVICE: The service is faultless, provided by well-trained and polite staff.
PRICE: Dinner for two costs about 3,800 baht without wine. |
