SETTING: Set in an 80-year-old house, it features an indoor bar and an al fresco terrace.

FOOD: The Mediterranean-inspired menu covers a broad geographic swathe from Spanish tapas to Italian pizzas and pastas, homey French bistro dishes and fine French cuisine. Specials such as frog legs with garlic butter, coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon are well received. Popular starters include tuna tartar with salsa of cucumber and pink peppercorns and a light lobster bisque with grilled scallops. Try the superb off-menu combination of grilled Australian angus beef tenderloin with pan-fried foie gras. Pan-fried snowfish with lobster sauce yields a perfectly cooked thick slab with a crisp golden exterior and a snowy soft interior. Round off the meal with tropical fruit gratin topped with strawberry ice cream or decadent chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.

WINE: A well-stocked cellar offers predominantly Italian and French wines.

SERVICE: Service is prompt and polite from waitresses in stylish purple tops.

PRICE: Two can enjoy a three-course meal for about 2,000 baht, without wine.
