SETTING: Enjoy tapas and wine at the bar, or dine outside in front of the decorative waterfall, or in the stylish air-conditioned section.
FOOD: Francesco Vitagliano has created an inspired masterpiece of a menu. From the complimentary appetisers through to the broad selection of starters, soups, salads, pastas, pizzas and mains, every dish proves to be beyond expectation. Of specific note are gnocci with cream of black truffles, and signature ossobuco alla Milanese. These contemporary, creative interpretations of traditional Italian cuisine, mainly from the Piedmont and Tuscany regions, are simply culinary magic. Vegetarians are well catered for. In addition to traditional Italian desserts such as tiramisu and panna cotta (the latter being one of the best you will ever taste), Bellini also offers such temptations as tortino al cioccolato (chocolate fondant with mango sauce).
WINE: Bellini offers a selection of delectable and well-chosen international wines with a special emphasis on Italian wine. A boutique wine cellar caters to the wine connoisseur.
SERVICE: Attentive staff fluent in English helps make this one of Samui's best restaurants.
PRICE: A three-course meal for two, without wine, costs about 2,800 baht. |
