SETTING: Set in an open sala or pavilion beside a spectacular swimming pool complete with its own waterfall.
FOOD: The eclectic menu of Asian and European dishes has been created by Angelo del Ponte, the former chef and owner of Angelo's Kitchen in Bangkok. Begin with mozzarella with tomatoes, basil and rosemary dressing and a basket of garlic bread; this is a very light, fresh salad. Then maybe some fresh shiitake mushrooms, simple yet very appetising. For the main course, rack of lamb cooked to taste, rare or well done, and served with assorted grilled vegetables will satisfy any diner. Or if beef is the preference, grain-fed tenderloin, a lean cut, is a juicy option. Another recommendation is lamb fillet in mint sauce, or spaghetti pla khem. The menu offers a wide selection of delectable dishes with something for everyone.
WINE: A good selection of affordable wines.
SERVICE: Politely discreet yet attentive staff.
PRICE: A meal for two without wine costs about1,800 baht. |
