SETTING: A relaxed restaurant with white walls that display paintings for sale. Sit in air-conditioned comfort or al fresco.
FOOD: Eat Me offers an Australian-inspired menu, designed by owner Darren Hausler. Start off with yellow-fin tuna tartar with soba noodles, a house speciality that comes with a piquant sauce, or asparagus lasagne with New Zealand goat camembert and champagne bechamel. Continue with cajun-spice-rubbed wild sea prawns with cauliflower and lemongrass cream, a very tasty choice, or try the recommended spicy lemongrass chicken with peperonata. Complement your main course with one of five side orders. Potato mash is the real deal and comes in a generous portion while rocket-pear-parmesan salad with truffle oil dressing is a simple but highly enjoyable dish that can also serve as an appetiser. Finish with sticky date pudding with hot butterscotch and vanilla ice cream, and lemongrass-infused soft crème brulee.
WINE: A list with numerous wines at very reasonable prices.
SERVICE: Staff is attentive, enthusiastic and friendly.
PRICE: Without wine, two can enjoy a fulfilling meal for less than 3,000 baht. |
