SETTING: Tables are set up outside on the terrace or inside in the cooler air-conditioned environment. The open kitchen adds to the theatre of the dining experience.
FOOD: It is best to start off with house speciality ricotta and pumpkin ravioli, generously filled and lightly blanched to keep the wrapping al dente and almost crunchy. The butter sauce is indulgently delicious – a great dish for a tropical climate. As is seared fillet of sea bass with sauteed mushrooms and fresh herb sauce, served with its crunchy skin on a layer of pesto potatoes. A generous serving, it is possible for two to share. The selection of cheeses at 350 baht is a great addition to the menu. To finish off the meal, try green apple with frozen ginger souffle with a caramel sauce; it has just the right balance of zest and acidity.
WINE: A good selection of mainly New World wines by the glass.
SERVICE: Well trained and highly professional. Service delivered with precision.
PRICE: A three-course meal for two will cost about 2,500 to 3,000 baht without wine. |
