SETTING: This elegant steakhouse provides a relaxing and sedate ambience with a touch of glamour.
FOOD: The menu here is reminiscent of a classic upmarket American seafood and steakhouse. The selection of fresh lobster, oysters, tiger prawn, crab claws and scallops on a bed of ice is an excellent appetiser to share and delicious with a glass of ice-cold chardonnay. Another superb starter is roasted foie gras with onion compote, highly recommended. You are spoiled with the choice of superb-quality meat at Madison. The comprehensive selection of tenderloin, sirloin, rib-eye and T-bone beef includes black angus from Australia, grain-fed certified angus from the US, kobe sirloin and wagyu rib-eye. Other than beef, Victoria lamb rack with caponata and mint sauce is excellent, and yakitori-marinated yellowtail steak is grilled to perfection. The side dishes are wonderful too.
WINE: Impressive wine list with a broad selection from the US, Australia and Europe.
SERVICE: Friendly, attentive staff, with manager Reza Jafari who knows his food and wine.
PRICE: Dinner for two without wine can reach 4,500 baht. |
