SETTING: High ceiling, walk-through separate Arabian Nights-style theme bar, cooking stations all around the perimeter.
FOOD: On offer is Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mediterranean, seafood and lava grill all under one roof. Thai chef Supachai Saisoigeon oversees and ensures that individual cooking stations maintain high quality. Presentation is excellent. With so many different cuisines available, try something different for each course, and with the choice of wines by the glass, finding complementary wines and food makes for a fun experience. Rainbow bread comes fresh and hot from the wood-fired oven. Sichuan seafood soup is superb, piping hot and just spicy enough to invigorate the palate, while Boston lobster is the genuine imported item and comes with Chinese kale and the two do go well together. The food is fine dining and served appropriately, yet the ambience is fun and relaxed, suited to families.
WINE: The glass-walled cellar holds 140 labels with 19 wines sold by the glass.
SERVICE: Very enthusiastic staff dressed in black and red like the overall colour scheme.
PRICE: It is easy to have a dinner without wine, for less than 1,000 baht per person. |
