SETTING: At Mezzaluna, dine sky-high with stunning views of the city and river. The ambience is chic and sophisticated, yet relaxed.
FOOD: Mezzaluna offers fine Italian cuisine with probably the best quality and freshest ingredients, charmingly presented. For starters, try antipasti Mezzaluna featuring an assortment of mouth-watering delights such as wild rocket and porcini carpaccio, pan-fried foie gras and buffalo mozzarella with tomato jelly. Another good choice is seared diver scallop with Albacore tuna and caviar ravioli; incredibly delicate, it melts in your mouth. Perhaps continue with signature risotto Mantecato with porcini mushrooms and foie gras. Seafood dishes recommended are pan-seared French turbot and grilled live Maine lobster. Unbelievably fresh with generous servings. Also recommended is grilled matsuzaka beef sirloin. Finish off with pineapple ravioli filled with mango and ginger served with chocolate nougat ice cream.
WINE: Very extensive wine list, ranging from reasonable to exorbitantly priced.
SERVICE: Staff is very knowledgeable and can be trusted for their recommendations.
PRICE: Two can dine for 8,000 baht without wine. |
