SETTING: An essential Hua Hin dining experience, it boasts a decked beachfront terrace and elegant tables set with white linen, plain silverware, white china and plain crystal.
FOOD: Start off with caesar salad with crisp greens prepared fresh on a trolley beside the table. As an alternative, crayfish bisque is tasty, rich and smooth. The palate-cleansing lemongrass sorbet served before the main course is a nice touch. For mains, try the seafood platter laden with oysters, lobster, crab and jumbo prawns; a veritable feast in itself. Or pan-fried barramundi with a side of steamed vegetables that is easier to eat. There is also an array of flambe dishes available. Saffron-poached pears with vanilla ice cream nicely rounds off any meal.
WINE: An extensive wine list of New and Old World ranging from the affordable to the indulgent. An excellent range of wines by the glass is also on offer.
SERVICE: Well-trained, professional and efficient. Attentive without being obtrusive and sensitive to the needs of the customer.
PRICE: A meal for two will cost about 4,000 baht without wine. |
