FOOD: Baan Rim Pa serves royal Thai cuisine in an appropriately luxurious atmosphere. The former home of founder Tom MacNamara, the restaurant exudes a warm welcome to diners. Attention to detail is what makes Baan Rim Pa excel and innovations, such as new and larger serving plates upon which each faithfully crafted dish arrives, keep diners more than happy. From grilled Andaman lobster, and prawns in lemongrass to the impossibly fresh fish, the reasons for this restaurant's high-level niche, and year after year popularity, are clear. Sweet and sour chicken is a delight, as is steamed sea bass in lemon sauce. Presentation is exemplary and this is one of the secrets to Baan Rim Pa's success.
