FOOD
Decent, straightforward, no-nonsense Chinese dishes great for big appetites, and creatively prepared thanks to modern recipes. Sauteed chinese broccoli with oyster sauce places in the plate four thick stalks of excellent, crisp greens. Stir-fried mixed vegetables with chinese sauce includes a nice swirl of asparagus, carrots, mushrooms and other items. Wonderful seaweed appears in a big plate with small shrimp, asparagus, mushrooms, carrots and lots of dark green seaweed just right for gobbling. Steamed snow fish with spicy garlic and lemon sauce is very nice and arrives as two big, circular, sliced fillets, moist from steaming and smothered in garlic, ginger and other
flavours. Sauteed ostrich is a big winner with great, soft, bite-sized pieces of tender meat mingling with ginger and onions – also available with black pepper or XO sauce – which may inspire you to order a second plate. Most of the menu swims with seafood, including lobster, prawns, garoupa, sea bass, bamboo fish and shark’s fins in a seemingly endless aquarium of choices.

A modest list but includes some great
choices, including a fabulous red Chateau Tour
Haut Vignoble 2000 from France. Beer and some
spirits are also available.
