A bright, clean, spacious and modern room with brick walls which give way to windows overlooking the Chao Phraya River. The relatively unadorned restaurant falls into the category of simple minimalism.

FOOD

Antipasto all’ Italiana for two brings a large platter of cold salami, bologna, ham and other cold cuts, graced by slices of a milky, mild mozzarella caprese, roasted bell peppers, grilled eggplant, olives and other assortments. The real thrill however is generously thick, pink salmone allo champagne, baked in a creamy champagne sauce. Pesce merluzzo via veneto is also successful with a bountiful slice of delicate cod, perked up by mustard, capers and cognac sauce. Fish and chicken dishes come with all-you-want scoops of pasta, mixed vegetables and potatoes, creating a well-filled plate. Dessert excels with tiramisu saturated by espresso, topped with mascarpone and powdered with cocoa. The menu also includes a broad variety of other Italian creations, including a slew of salads, pasta, fish, chicken, meat and pizzas to tempt diners. The focus is on basic, substantial meals carefully crafted to please, with a wonderful view overlooking the River of Kings.

WINES

Whites and reds from France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, America, South Africa and elsewhere comprise a select list able to match any dishes. Shiraz cabernet merlot from Evans and Tate, Australia, goes very well with fish.
