SETTING
From the Evason’s elegant reception, catch the hotel bus – a silent Cyclops-like affair that descends quickly to the lower part of the hotel. The waterside restaurant has a quaint fisherman’s hut feel to it and diners are encouraged to take their shoes off to feel the sand between their toes.
FOOD
Into the Beach’s Mediterranean a la carte selection is extensive, and with tapas and salad buffet available for both lunch and dinner, there is something for everyone. Start off with a wonderful selection of fresh olives, zucchini fritters and paper-thin Tuscany prosciutto, accompanied by a deliciously chilled Jean de Valombreuse Languedoc white. You could happily just stay with the starters for the whole meal; the choice is that good, with aromatic flavours that conjure up memories of idyllic sojourns in the south of Spain, France, Italy or Greece. Entrees are selected with gentle samba music in the background, and the swell of the sea to the front. Try to leave room for grilled salmon teriyaki, but ask for the starter dressing – a tasty aioli and picada sauce. Red snapper with coriander is also excellent with a clever Rosso Castellani Tuscan red. Although not a wide selection, there are enough dessert items to satisfy those with a sweet tooth. Then relax for a while in the perfect seafront setting before heading off for home.
WINES
Apart from an excellent rose, the wine selection at Into the Beach itself appears to be limited, but if you have a particular wine in mind just ask to choose from the Evason’s extensive cellar upstairs.
SERVICE
The staff is both friendly and informative and happy to provide good service.

Ordering a la carte will cost about 1,500 baht for two diners, without wine.
