SETTING
The newly renovated restaurant is decorated with Chinese paintings on the walls, vases and ceramics on stands and a colour scheme of soft blacks, greens and golds.
FOOD
Lok Wah Hin offers modern Chinese focusing on Sichuan and Cantonese cooking, with some adventurous twists. In addition to dim
sum served during lunchtime, the menu is extensive with dishes offered in three sizes of small, medium and large. For starters, try
flavourful pan-fried pork spare ribs with cream salad or stir-fried turnip mousse with XO sauce, the latter quite impressive. For a main course,
sauteed prawns with chicken comes in a basket made of taro; the dish itself lives up to its clever presentation, with tender chicken, prawns and succulent sea scallops making for an excellent combination. For vegetable lovers, try sauteed broccoli topped with crab meat. Other tempting items on the lengthy menu include stewed
soysauce pigeon and vegetables, and sauteed beef fillet with black pepper sauce. For dessert, Shanghai sesame dumplings in brown ginger syrup is delicate and pleasantly light after a heavy meal.

There is an extensive wine selection from round the world and also various kinds of teas to choose from. Wine prices are reasonable.

Attentive, efficient and very cheerful staff is also knowledgeable about the menu.
