SETTING
Spasso offers a split-level setting with tables set up against a glass wall on one side and further in, a bar and dance floor where international bands get people to go up and dance from 10pm to 1am. The ambience is trendy and fun.
FOOD
Opened 13 years ago, this restaurant was one of the first to specialise in good Italian cuisine. Now that the competition has heated up considerably for this type of cooking, it is a reflection of the quality of the establishment that Spasso has continued to remain at the top. For
lunch, those who do not want a long and heavy meal have the options of just the antipasto table, or antipasto plus main course, ending with or without selections from the dessert buffet. Alternatively there is a small menu of salads, pizzas, pastas and risotti, and main dishes. From the more extensive dinner menu, start with wellprepared beef carpaccio, or minestrone liguria soup which comes with home-made pasta. Risotto with crab meat, greens and zucchini is tasty and generous on the crab. Cod roasted with artichoke and prosecco wine sauce is also recommended, while veal osso bucco is a favourite that does not disappoint. The desserts are also worth trying here.

An extensive list from both old and new worlds, with an emphasis on Italian wines, all at prices ranging from affordable to expensive.
SERVICE
Staff is able to assist with menu suggestions and is efficient, friendly and prompt.
PRICE
Lunch is inexpensive and two need pay no more than 1,500 baht. Dinner is more, at about 3,000 baht for two, without wine.
