SETTING
From the entrance through the dining pavilions to the garden seating by the sea the restaurant offers fine Thai dining in a stunning setting. The diner has great views of the sea and Khao Takiab with its Golden Buddha while he enjoys his food.
FOOD
Touches of modern Thai cuisine mix with tradition as the mostly seafood menu caters to many tastes. From smoked salmon salad appetiser with spicy dressing to crispy morning glory spicy salad, the menu provides plenty of variety. Crabs, clams, fish, prawns and oysters are the stars of this menu and there is a good selection of dishes featuring each. Sizzling oysters cooked soft or crispy and deep-fried soft- shell crab are welldone and seem to symbolise the entire menu of tradition and inventiveness mixed together. Supporting dishes include appetisers like deepfried crab meat and minced pork stuffed in crab shell. Other categories include Thai salads, a few soups and curries and many more appetisers. The freshness of the seafood and the careful preparation and presentation, by a new team of chefs from a prestigious Bangkok seafood restaurant, all combine to create an excellent dining experience.
WINES
Wine is not a priority here, but there is a good selection from most of the major countries at prices ranging from about 800 to 3,500 baht.
SERVICE
The staff is personable and tries hard but is not very proficient in the finer points of table service.
