SETTING
The restaurant is housed in a small, cosy glass-walled structure with a patio eating area surrounded by refreshing greenery. The interior is minimal in style, and the white walls and domestic-styled decor make you feel at home.
FOOD
The selection at Tessa is primarily French, with an added home-made spin to many of the dishes. To start off, the house speciality frog’s leg
salad features a simple yet elegant introduction to Tessa’s French cuisine. For the main dish, the recommended duck confit is a good choice; the duck legs preserved in salt and fat when fried give off an enticing aroma and a crispy, yet juicy texture. Grilled scallop and orange sauce is good, with the orange sauce bringing out the freshness of the scallops. Tessa’s bakery is another of its fortes, serving up a wide range of home-baked, mouth-watering bakery items also greatly enjoyed for tea. Spoilt for choice, you might want to try strawberries crepe with imported fruit and cream, topped with vanilla ice cream. For a more eclectic mix, try apple, cherry and strawberry crumble; the summery lushness of the fresh fruits meets rich vanilla cream and crispy crumble to produce a fantastic dessert.
WINES
The restaurant has a modest selection of European and French wines, as well as a generous menu of fruit drinks in different forms such as
smoothies and milkshakes.
SERVICE
The service is attentive and knowledgeable, complementing the cosy mood of Tessa.
PRICE
A decent dinner for two will cost about 2,000 baht, excluding wine.
