FOOD
Nice dishes built with adequate ingredients, resulting in a meal which can be light and not too filling. Barbeque pork with honey sauce is not overpowered by sweetness because this recipe calls for gentle dabs of honey on the meat. Pan-fried chicken with sweet ginger and pineapple is also a good choice, laying flavourful pieces of lightly seared meat in a tasty sauce. Sauteed broccoli with crab meat arrays big, bold greens on crab meat slivers and sauce. Braised black mushrooms and vegetables is great, and places lots of mixed greens under dark brown sauces with fine fungus. Seafood abounds on this menu, with prawns, shrimp, garoupa, sea bass, abalone and shark’s fin, plus duck, beef, and other selections. Fans of dim sum have a slew of temptations, with morsels which are steamed and beckon with interiors packing shrimp, vegetable, chicken, pork and other goodies. A dessert of rice dumplings in ginger syrup is fun, though the four balls are small.
