SETTING
A light, brisk mood greets diners to this modern, Italian-accented, L-shaped restaurant which has unadorned walls painted with pale,
dappled earth tones. The ambience is perfect for romance, business or a quiet conversation.
FOOD
Wonderful Italian food and other European dishes created with precise, delicious skill. Rucola and mesclun salad blends nice, soft pieces of gorgonzola cheese with marinated sun-dried tomatoes in a very good walnut dressing. Panseared tuna and scallops also makes a fine appetiser and includes chilli-fried eggplant and cream of capsicum sauce. The tuna is cooked so the thick piece has a crusty skin but a perfectly tasty, reddish rawness inside. For a main course,
thyme-roasted snow fish is divine, and comes with sauteed potatoes and a walnut rocket salad. Sauteed salmon is a brilliant dish with capers, sweet-and-sour button onions and young green beans. Other dishes convey similar professionalism, and include flavourful Muscovy marinated duck salad, and a main course of snow fish fillet which melts in your mouth. Chocolate desserts include a fun tiramisu.
WINES
A trove of more than 50 reds and whites is mostly weighted toward Italy but balanced by France, and includes a nice, light, smooth red
Valpolicella, pasqua 2003.
SERVICE
Overly eager, inquisitive staff, who speaks English and Thai, hovers to ensure each morsel satiates, and any needs are quickly met.
